Protecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
Breakout Learning implements physical, administrative, and technical safeguards designed to protect personally identifiable information (PII) and other sensitive data.
These safeguards include:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest, where applicable.
- Role-based access controls and authentication mechanisms.
- Secure software development and coding practices.
- Regular security monitoring, testing, and system audits.
- Administrative policies that limit access to participant and institutional data to authorized personnel.
Breakout Learning is unconditionally compliant with FERPA and the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU–U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU–U.S. DPF, and the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss–U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
