Adding a Class

Set up a class in Breakout Learning after creating your instructor account

 

Adding a Class

1. Open the classes page

  • Log in to your account.

  • Navigate to the Classes page.

2. Enter class details

  • Provide a class name and section name.

  • Enter the expected number of participants for the section.

  • If your course has multiple sections, add each section separately.

3. Set class dates

  • Define the start date and end date for the class.

  • Note: These dates can only be edited until participants accept the invitation link.

4. Review draft status

  • Once created, your class will appear in draft status.

  • While in draft status, you cannot invite participants.

5. Activate the class

  • To remove draft status, you must assign your first breakout experience.

  • After assigning, you’ll be able to invite participants.

6. Manage multiple classes

  • If you already have classes created, they will appear on the page.

  • Use the Add class button at the top right to create additional classes.
