Launching a Breakout Assignment
Locating and opening available work after joining a class.
Note: If your course is integrated with Canvas or D2L Brightspace, launch your assignment from your LMS instead. See the Canvas or D2L launch guides for instructions.
1. View your assignments
- Sign in to your Breakout Learning account.
- Your available assignments will appear on the homepage.
2. Find your assignment
- Use the filters in the top right to view Open, Upcoming, or Past assignments.
- Select the assignment you want to work on.
3. Prepare for your assignment
- If payment is required, you'll be prompted to purchase access or enter an access code before continuing.
- Join or create a group and schedule a meeting time with your group members.
- Review the assignment details, including your pre-work, quiz, and scheduled session.
- Complete the required pre-work and pre-quiz before your live session if available.
4. Start your session
- When your scheduled session begins, click Start Session or Join Session.
- You'll enter the Breakout Learning experience and begin collaborating with your group.
