Inviting Participants
Invite participants to join your Breakout Learning class.
Note: If your course is integrated with Canvas or D2L Brightspace, you do not need to invite participants. Your class roster is automatically synced from your LMS, and participants can access Breakout Learning by opening an assignment in Canvas or D2L.
If your institution does not use an LMS integration, follow these steps:
1. Publish at least one assignment
- Ensure that at least one assignment has been published.
- Participants cannot join a class if all assignments are saved as drafts.
2. Open the Participants tab
- Open your class.
- Select the Participants tab.
3. Copy the invitation
Choose one of the following options:
- Copy Invitation Link to share the enrollment link.
- Copy Full Invitation Message to share a prewritten message that includes the enrollment link.
4. Share the invitation
- Send the invitation to your participants.
- New participants will use the link to create their Breakout Learning account and join the class.
5. Confirm enrollment
- Once participants join, they will appear in the Participants tab and can access published assignments.
