Completing a Breakout Learning Experience

1. Join your session

• Open your assignment and click Start Session or Join Session when it becomes available.

2. Allow permissions and test your setup

• Allow Breakout Learning to access your camera and microphone.
• Verify your camera, microphone, and speakers are working before entering the session.
• If you prefer, you can blur your background before joining the session.

3. Join the experience

• If prompted, confirm whether you are completing a solo experience.
• Use the controls at the bottom of the screen to manage your camera, microphone, and audio.

4. Understand Group Leadership

• The participant with the Shield icon is the current Group Leader.
• The Group Leader is responsible for advancing the experience by clicking Next Slide.
• To transfer leadership, click the Shield icon on another participant's video or select another participant using the Shield icon in the session controls. The Shield will move to the new Group Leader.

5. Work through the experience

• Follow the prompts on each slide with your group.
• Use the Exhibits tab to view supporting materials.
• Use the Agenda tab to track your progress through the experience.

6. Complete the session

• Continue until all slides have been completed.
• Before viewing your results, you'll have the opportunity to provide feedback to your Instructor about your Breakout Learning experience.
• After submitting your feedback, your results and performance feedback will be displayed automatically.

7. Review your results

• Review your results and any available performance feedback at the end of the session.
• You can also return to your assignment later to review your results again.
