How Do I Assign a Breakout Learning Experience? 

Add breakout experiences and customize settings for your class in Breakout Learning

Step 1: Open Your Class

• Go to Classes in the top navigation.
• Select the class where you want to add an assignment and click View.

Step 2: Browse, Select, and Add an Experience

• On the Class page, click Add an Assignment.
• The Experience Catalog will open with all available experiences.
• Click any experience to preview its summary, instructor and student materials, and a sample discussion.
• When ready, click Add to Class. You'll then be taken to the assignment settings.

Step 3: Configure assignment settings 

• Set the Due Date and define the time window students have to complete the assignment.
• Select your desired Grouping Option:
• Set Grading Options: Toggle grading on or off. 

If enabled, set the weighting for each component:

Step 4: Save or Publish

• Save as Draft: not visible to students; appears grayed out on the Class Detail page.
• Publish: live and accessible to students.

You must publish at least one assignment before inviting students to the class.
